These baskets of beauty are all hand-made by our 14-year-old son, Nathanael. They are durable and strong as he solders each row completely in it's entirety. They are not tacked here and there to just hold a shape, as some are made. He has been making and shaping baskets since he was twelve and has the symmetry down. Nathanael averages two and a half to three hours per basket typically (depending on the size, of course), and is proud of the fact that most of the ropes used on the baskets, he and his brothers have actually roped with at work on the ranch.
As no two baskets are ever alike, the finished basket will be only approximately finished to 10-12" wide and 2" tall , but as close to it as he can get.
Sorry, color schemes are never an option. One rope is worn out differently at different parts of it's length.
Thanks for looking!
